Make me a bicycle, clown!

I am cranky today.  Cranky because people are not dependable.  Because people lie.  Because I feel like I have to do everything on my own.  Because people are rude.  Because I want a nap.  Because I need chocolate.  Because people expect too much of me.  And because I just haven't had time for myself.

I'm sure you were all dying to know.

Serious moment: Do any of you ever feel like that?  Am I alone here?

Maybe I'm just a big whiny baby today.  But that's okay because this is my blog and I can whine if I want to, dammit.

In an effort to cheer myself up, I have been listening to "Popular" from the Wicked soundtrack.  On repeat.  All day.

Since I know y'all are all on the edges of your seats about this, here is today's jewelry collection:
1.  Earrings: from a little boutique here in Greenville, mayme baker.
2.  Watch: the usual Michael Kors.
3.  Ring: grey druzy stone set in sterling silver, from Tennessee.
I wish I had funny stories or anything interesting to say, but I don't.  Quick...someone entertain me!

Wait!  I do have a tiny bit of funny I can share.  I was driving the other day and got caught in an awful storm.  I'm talking sheets of rain, hail, lightning, thunder, the works.  I saw this moron jogging in the midst of all of this.  He had obviously planned it because he was wearing goggles.  That's right, goggles.  People are special.

You've all probably stopped reading this by now anyway.

The End,

Friday?

I am unbelievably happy that today is Friday.

I've had a wave of inspiration (and motivation) with my jewelry business.  Hopefully I will get the chance to craft some things this weekend.  And sleep.  Lord knows I'd love to sleep.  Can it be nap time right now?

Here's today's jewelry collection:
1.  Watch: Michael Kors
2.  Owl necklace: I made this cute little guy for my jewelry line, Copper Alley.
3.  Ring: barse, from Rue La La
I've also developed an addiction to Pinterest.  It's pretty severe.  And it's probably contagious, too.  And etsy.  I'm awful.  This is why my savings account is so sad.  But my jewelry and craft collection is ever-growing!

Love life update: I went on a blind date last week and it was fun.  He's dropped off the face of the earth since then.  Another one bites the dust...

A trip to Deliverance country.

Short and sweet today.

Here is where I went on a "field trip" to get telephone poles.  Yes, you read that right.
I hear banjos...
And here is the jewelry I wore today, because I know you care.
1.  Necklace: bought the crystal at AC Moore and made a pendant, gold chain is something I bought awhile back.
2.  Ring: Disney Couture treasure chest ring, Amazon
3.  Watch: Michael Kors
4.  Earrings: Target
Now, back to your regularly scheduled program.

Pretty Things.

This may be a lame idea, but humor me.

I read a ton of blogs and I especially love the ones with pictures.  Yesterday, I read a post by Pink Lou Lou and noticed that she had on some gorgeous earrings.  Being the jewelry freak that I am, I asked her where she got them.  That made me think.  I'm super nosey and always want to know where people got the fantastic clothes/shoes/jewelry/purse/accessory that they are rocking.

I've decided to start a series of what jewelry I'm wearing.  I know you're all dying to know the bling of the day.  Here's today:
1.  Earrings: I made them with crystals I bought at AC Moore.
2.  Watch: Michael Kors, purchased on Amazon.
3.  Monogrammed bracelet: Heartstrings, my Aunt sells all of their products. (I also have the matching necklace.)
4.  Ring: Rainbow quartz set in sterling silver, gift from Mommy Dearest.
Is this the lamest idea ever?  Let me know what you think.

Sparkle hearts,

Sweet and Crafty

I got the urge to do some crafting yesterday Monday, so I made my way to Michael's with a vague vision of what I wanted to make and not the faintest idea of supplies I would need.  Good thing crafting is like second nature to me.  I wanted to make something where I could hang my ever-growing collection of earrings, but I didn't like anything I'd seen online.

I did like the idea of this piece:
{here}
I bought a piece of art board and a white picture frame and figured that was a good place to start.  When I got home, I marked off the spacing on the board and drilled some holes.  I spent maybe 15 minutes outside in the garage using the drill press.  As I was drilling, I noticed that my feet itched.  In that short span of time, I got 7 mosquito bites on my ankles/feet.  Miserable!  I'm obviously too sweet for my own good.  Shut up.  Anyway, the project is still in the works but I will try to post a picture when it's finished.

Did the doctor just hit on me?

It's Friday, Friday...  Sorry, I was having a Rebecca Black moment.

That being said, I don't really have any stories of my own to tell today, so I'm going to share one that happened to Daddy yesterday.

Daddy had a routine dermatologist appointment yesterday.  My whole family goes to see Dr. W.  She is very petite and very feisty.  She never holds back when it comes to telling what she thinks.  Dr. W also always carries around a little tape recorder and dictates her charts. [Insert back story: A few years ago, Daddy ruptured his Achilles tendon and had to have surgery to repair it.  That left a pretty large and crooked scar on the back of his leg.  So now you know.]  As part of the routine exam, Dr. W had Daddy strip down to his skivvies and lay face down on the table so that she could check for moles and whatever else dermatologists look for.  She's talking into her recorder and dictating what she sees.  She pauses and mutters, "Nice S."

(You need to read that last line out loud, and remember that Daddy is face down on the table in his skivvies.)

Get it?  She was saying he had a nice S-shaped scar but it certainly sounded like she said he had a nice ass.  I guess that story isn't quite as funny when I type it out like that.  Whatever.  I think it's funny and that's what matters.

Have a great weekend!
